Introduction: How many worlds does the Bible speak of? Did God reconcile all worlds or did he reconcile His world? The purpose of this lesson is to differentiate between all the worlds spoken of in the gospel, the historical books, and in the Scripture.

 

1. THE TERRESTRIAL WORLD

2. THE WORLD OF THE VESSELS OF WRATH

• "...according to the course of this world,"

3. THE WORLD OF THE CHILDREN OF GOD
a) 2 Cor 5:19
• "...reconciling the world unto himself,"

• "...by whom the world is crucified unto me,"

a) The Scriptures
  • Terrestrial - Psalm 50:12 "...for the world is mine,"

  • The children of disobedience - Psalm 58:3 "The wicked are estranged from the womb:"

  • The children of God - Isaiah 46:3 "...which are borne by me from the belly, which are carried from the womb."

b) The Historical Books
  • Terrestrial - Acts 17:24 "God that made the world..."
  • The children of disobedience - John 14:17 "...whom the world cannot receive,"
  • The children of God - John 17:21"...that the world may believe..."
